Error 404 when creating an Event Categories menu

When I create a menu using the Event Categories and select my category I get an error 404.

This is in reference to building a default WordPress menu under the Appearance > Menus section of your WordPress dashboard? As an initial step, have you tried following our Testing for Conflicts procedures to ensure there isn’t a conflict at play with an existing plugin or theme on the site?

Hi Josh,

I have already tried this and it doesn’t solve my problem.
I create the menu in admin from Appearance / Menu and select an item from the Concert Categories. The URL indicates http://sandbox.thierrychamps.com/concerts/category/concerts/ but it’s a 404 page. If I play with the URL, I can see my upcoming events here http://sandbox.thierrychamps.com/concerts/

Thanks for following up with us!

Is the 404 issue only occurring with the “concerts” category? If so, it looks like there may be a conflict with the slugs used since the category slug matches the custom slug used for the “events” archive. Out of curiosity, try changing the “concerts” category slug (maybe “upcoming-concerts”) to see if that fixes the issue. You may need to re-save your site’s permalinks (settings > permalinks) after making the change.
