ParticipantSo… I was trying to get some debugging information for another post I was going to make, and I turned up the logging level to the highest level, and now when I go to Events > Help there’s just an empty page (admin tools on top and bottom but nothing inside. See attached image.)
The url is /wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=tribe_events&page=tribe-help
I updated WP to 4.8.1.
I deactivated all plugins except The Events Calendar and The Events Calendar PRO (also tried without PRO).
I deleted both plugins and reinstalled from the most recent downloads, using
The Events Calendar 4.5.10.1
The Events Calendar PRO 4.4.15I switched to Twenty Seventeen theme in case there was something with the theme.
Any ideas? I’d like to get the logs so I can maybe see what’s happening with my import. 🙂

MemberHola Rodrigo!
Thanks for reaching out to us.
That’s a strange issue you are having. Let me help you with it.
Could you please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG ? This will create a debug.log file inside the /wp-content directory.
After that, try navigating a few times into the help page where you are having the issue, so that in case there is an error, it will be saved into the debug.log file. Please share that log file with us so we can spot the problem from there.
Thanks,

MemberHi Rodrigo!
Thanks for sending out the error logs.
Because there was mention of “failed to open dir: Permission denied”, please ask your web host to correct the permissions for your server.
Please reference:

Please let me know how this goes for you. Thanks,

ParticipantI’m using WPEngine as a host. FYI, I had already tried resetting permissions yesterday but I chatted with them again today to double check.
This is what their tech said:
“Because all other plugins are deactivated and a default theme is activated unfortunately this is something the plugin developer would need to resolve. I’ve tried resetting file permissions again on our end, but it seems that the plugin is simply trying to do something that we cannot allow on our platform. They would need to re-write the code for this functionality.”“Our global permissions are set to 775 for directories and 664 files.”

MemberHi. I’ll mark this ticket as Pending Fix, which means this thread should receive a reply once the applicable fix has been released. I cannot guarantee when it will be fixed as it’s in the development team’s hands now. They need to assign it, code it, test it, and schedule it for release.
I apologize for this issue and appreciate your understanding and patience.

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
