Embedded Calendar Not Appearing

Hi all,

Love Event Calendar Pro and was wondering if you can help?

I want to embed a calendar view in a page, however the shortcode [tribe_events] isn’t working (when I view the page with the code, I just see the short code and not a calendar).

I have triple checked everything and the only potential bug I can find is the Event Calendar Pro plugin appears as ‘not activated’.

I have activated the plugin multiple times, and have removed and reinstalled the copy I had downloaded (4.4.16), but I still get the issue – the plugin runs the script to say that its activated, but it doesnt appear in my plugin list as activated. This may be a completely seperate issue, however this plugin needs to work so that the shortcode for my calendar can work.

Any ideas you have to fix this would be awesome! I really need to embed a calendar into a page ASAP!

Hey Sam,

Thank you for reaching out to us! I’m very sorry about this issue you are experiencing, let me help you to solve it!

Since you are having problems to enable Events Calendar PRO from within the WordPress Dashboard, I would suggest you to replace the plugin files via FTP and manually install it again.

The process is pretty simple and you will find all information you need here.

Basically, you will have to access your server via FTP, head over to wp-content/plugins/ rename the existing “events-calendar-pro” directory to something else (you can also move this directory to another place or simply delete it, it’s up to you!), download the latest version of Events Calendar PRO in your Downloads page and upload it to the plugins directory via FTP.

Also, please make sure that your Permission Scheme is correct (755 for folders, and 644 for files).
