GuestI’m using the Divi theme and I would like to display the nearest upcoming 3-5 events on the start page with header, date, description and photo, preferably as a grid.
Is this possible with Events Calendar Pro and how do I achieve it? If so, is there any demos/examples to see? Is it possible to style the embedded list/grid with custom css?

MemberHi Willy!
Sorry for the delay. We’ve had a very busy helpdesk the last few days.
Our Events Calendar Pro has a Mini Calendar grid view, Advanced Upcoming Events List, Featured Venue and even a countdown widget to your next event. These are all managed as a widget.
What you may be looking for might be slightly more customized, but there’s a chance the divi theme might have that area that you are trying to get these events to display in, set up as a widget area.
We unfortunately do not have a demo of the plugin working in this particular way, but bear in mind that although we can’t help you with customizations, if you do purchase a Pro subscription, we offer premium support and may be able to point you in the right direction to get that working the way you need.
You can also read our Refund Policy which gives you some time to play with the plugin and reach out for support if you need it.

ParticipantHi Willy,
Not a developer but been playing trying to play around with event calendar a bit for some projects I have and just noticed your post as I was looking for a solution for something similar.
Not something that was going to work for me but this was some work arounds I could think of that might work for you, there might be better solutions though.Option 1 (Using external plugin)
If you want to add any of the pro widgets on to you home page (or really any other widget) you can do so by using a plugin, for example: https://wordpress.org/plugins/widgets-on-pages/
And, if needed, you can style the widget as you please through css or even customise the layout of the widget with some child template coding.Option 2 (Direct)
Figure out a function that you can add to your functions.php that automatically assigns “nextwhatever” as category to your nearest upcoming events within a specific amount of days from todays date and removes it once the event has passes.
Then in your page use the event calendar shortcode to display all events with category “nextwhatever”Hope this helps.

MemberThanks for jumping in here Bizzalmedia, its always great to hear about other peoples experience and what they learned.
One other thing I failed to link to in my original post was our Customization Resource: https://theeventscalendar.com/customizations/ – this might help if you do go the route of customizing the plugin to fit your needs.
