Unfortunately this is not an out-of-the-box feature in Events Calendar Pro or Event Tickets Plus but can be added with the code that you mentioned. I definitely understand not wanting to dive into the code! However, as a premium license holder, you would have access to our Premium Support Forums. We are currently not able to do customizations, but we are always happy to answer questions and help point you in the right direction if you get stuck.
