ParticipantIn a previous post on this sublect , this was stated “We do not provide support for any third-party plugins,”
Calling Elementor (or any of the other page builders) just a “third-party plugin” is a bit presumptuous on your part.
This mindset seems to assume that your calendar is so important and such a dominant part of a site that it can be expected to have its very own page whose layout can only be edited by modifying the php files, and there will be nothing else on that page than the calendar
I want to build the site with Elementor, have the calendar/list/photo view show up on any given page precisely where I choose it to be, sharing page with whatever other elements I add with the margin and padding that I specify. The calendar is just another component on the site, not something that can behave as if it owns the place.

KeymasterHi Kent,
Thanks so much for reaching out again here!
I understand that you want everything to place nicely together, and we want that too. However, as per our Support Policy, we cannot always assist with making things work together when they don’t by default.
I see that Sky is helping you with this issue over on this topic: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/event-search-bar-selected-view-redraws-over-menu/
Was there a separate issue that you were having as well?
Let me know if you need any further assistance!
Thanks,
Jaime

This not the same issue at all. It’s the obvious attitude of The EventS Calendar being seem by the support people as so important in itself that it’s the other guys responsibility to make sure things work. It really isn’t in the case of Elementor or the other page builders.
The issue with the your menu overwriting the main popup on the site was indeed solved with the z order adjustment, but there are other cases where The Events Calendar plainly behaves way too intrusively as if it owned the site, and not merely a calendar.
I am now using the calendar via shortcodes on an Elementor page, and this KINDA work, but there is another issue, rooted in the Events Calendar pretty much expecting to run the show..
In the settings for The Events Calendar I have set the Events URL slug to “dummyevents”, and the Single Event Slug is “dummyevent”
That should let me have an Elementor controlled events page called “Events”, right ? No, it doesn’t because The Events Calendar will sometimes DELETE the page called Events probably because it expects to generate that page itself, even though the slugs are set to different page names. I do not know what triggers the deletion it but it will usually happen after making a change to that particular page and saving it.

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
