ParticipantHi
I have inherited this site from another developer and I’m not sure how to edit the html before events thats been added on the http://light2015.org.au/events
I would assume that I could edit the content in the ‘add html before event content’ field in Events > Settings > Display – but there’s nothing in that field.
Is this a bug or should I be updating the content somewhere else?
Thanks for your help!

ParticipantHey Niall,
Hm, sorry for your issues here. I’m curious, have you tried adding content to that “HTML Before Event Content” options field anyway, and saving the changes? If so, what did you find? If not, would you be willing to try this right now?
I ask about being “willing to try” because if this is an issue related to that option, which lives in the database, then it’s possible that saving the option could empty that option, thus deleting that HTML. In case this happens, however, I’ve gone ahead and copied that existing HTML into a Gist here for reference and backup β https://gist.github.com/momnt/34ae85255c9cd3722857

ParticipantYup that worked. Your advice was super helpful, thanks! π
It still seems a bit buggy that there’s no way to edit the “HTML before event content” once it’s been added, though. Is this is known issue?

ParticipantHey Niall,
I’m glad my first bit of advice helped!
As for this being a known issue or not, it is not βΒ and I cannot recreate this issue on my testing site at all.
If you’re interested in finding the source of the problem, would you be interested in running through all the steps outlined in this article here? β https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/
If you do those steps, what do you find?
Thanks!
