Edit Venue Creates a New Blank Venue

Hi,
I have an existing event set up and if I try to edit the event I have a link beside the existing event location which allows me to edit the Venue Location. However if I make this change it creates a new blank event location above the existing one which and it wont allow me to remove it. I cannot seem to get rid of the extra location without having to completely delete the event and start again. I have attached a screen shot with the extra blank location showing. If I try to change the blank one to the correct event location it just creates another blank event location above the other two and so it goes on. Is there something I can do to fix this?
