ParticipantHi,
I just downloaded and started working with The Events Calendar Pro. I have run into two problems. The first is the issue with recurring events – the exclusions is not working. I saw in the forum that you are working on that bug, so will wait on that one. The second issue is that when I create a recurring event and then I go back to hit “Edit All” on one of the recurring events, Posts open instead of the event opening up so I can edit it. I have logged out and back in and it tried it several times. Can this be fixed?
This is a great event calendar, but a little frustrating now that I’ve paid for the upgrade to Pro – to find that its not working properly. The whole point of upgrading was to be able to create recurring events easily.
Thanks!
KJ

ParticipantHey Karen,
Thanks for reaching out to us and I apologize for the inconvenience that these issues have caused.
To address each issue directly:
- We do have some issues with exclusions that have been addressed and other that will be addressed in our next release. However, would you mind sending us a screenshot (or describing) the specific exclusion settings that you’re using so we can make sure that this isn’t something different than we’ve already noted?
- I’ve just tested the “Edit All” link (found hovering over an event within the events table in the WordPress dashboard) and was correctly taken the recurring event to edit. For this one, have you tried following our Testing for Conflicts procedures to ensure there isn’t a conflict at play here with another plugin or theme?
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

ParticipantHI Josh,
Thanks for getting back to me. I will test for plugin conflicts…but today I’m not having the issue with the “Edit All” is a series, so must be on my end. Also, I did not realize that when you are adding an exclusion, you need to hit “add exclusion” since it opens another. I just hit “save” when finished. I just put in an exclusion with “date” and hit “add exclusion” and it works perfectly. (perhaps I’m the only one that was confused by that – but if not, you might put a line of text that you must hit “add exclusion” for it to be saved.)
So I’m all set – thank you!

ParticipantHey Karen,
No problem and thanks for following up!
I’m glad you were able to get the exclusion issue worked out. That is definitely an interesting note about exclusions and worth bringing up to our team.
I’ll go ahead and close this thread for now. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to open a new thread.
Thanks!
