Easy, condensed list view

We recently purchased Pro and also the community add-on. Very happy – drastically improved the look and functionality of our events program.

We just overhauled our website, and our new website has a dynamic events list in one portion (see screenshot attached). We formerly used Formidable and this was a view.

I would like to replicate it, but I don’t see where I can readily do that. I didn’t see a shortcode that would do this. I think the widgets come close, but the problem is that I don’t have a sidebar free – they all tie into someplace else, so I would have events showing up somewhere I don’t want them.

I did try this – and the events showed up pretty decent, but on the homepage section, the events didn’t show the location, but on the widget in the same sidebar on another page, they did show the location. I wonder if they were there, but not styled correctly? When I put the old Formidable shortcode for the list in, now the dates don’t show, but they are there, just white on white.

So, my question is two-fold: 1) Is there a built-in way to do this, and, if not, do you have a recommendation; 2) Why would the information displayed vary if it is the same sidebar and widget.

Thanks for reaching out, I’m happy to help out here. 🙂

1. There is not a built in way to accomplish this. That said… You could possibly pull in a list of events very simply like this with the built in RSS feed at http://fragilex.org/events/feed/
2. The fact that the information varies is something we should look into. 🙂 Can you please perform conflict testing by following this documentation here?
