ParticipantHaving an Duplicate queries issue with one of our sites: http://www.aoaalberta.com
I have searched the forum and this post seems similar:
https://theeventscalendar.com/ … t-tickets-5/I have installed Query Monitor plugin (see screen captures attached).
Query monitor seems to indicate that the events calendar Tickets Plus is causing this issue (duplicate queries) in conjunction with the Posts.
In general, the number of queries on various pages ranges from a low of 68 to a high of 107; until you click on the News page (on the front end) and suddenly there are 948 queries.
The following query repeats over and over down the page:
WP_Query->get_posts()
2 calls
Plugin: event-tickets
2 calls
Tribe__Tickets__Tickets_View->get_event_rsvp_attendees()
1 call
Tribe__Tickets__Tickets_View->get_event_attendees_by_order()
1 callAny suggestions? (my host is warning they will shut me down).
Thank you.

ParticipantHowdy Janice,
I would love to help you with this. Performance is my specialty.
Thanks for sharing all the details you’ve collected to date. It’s of interested that only one of the pages has so many duplicate queries. Does it have a lot of widgets on it perchance? Right now I am just seeing the “we’ll be right back” message, so I can’t tell what’s supposed to be showing.
Would you be interested in generating a new, temporary, admin account for me to login with and view the Query Monitor output? If so could you respond in a private reply here with the Username/password you’ve created. Once I’m done inspecting the site I’ll let you know so you can delete the account.
We do frequent performance audits on our plugin and our last one about a month back yielded a few areas that are ripe for improvement. We have already released updates for some of those, but have a couple major ones coming down the line. One deals with Month View, the other the Mini Calendar widget. It is possible these will help you. It is possible I will find some other areas to improve after inspecting your site with Query Monitor. Or it is possible you just need a faster server and will want to look into upgrading. Whatever the outcome though I am happy to help you figure out the available options.
Cheers!

ParticipantThank you!
I’ve been testing the theme and plugins, as per: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/
1) There seems to be a front-end issue which was resolved when I switched to 2016 theme:
– the page with the excessive number of queries is: https://www.aoaalberta.com/news-upcoming-events/
– this is a blog-grid-style page-layout that is part of the theme (Virtue Pro) https://www.kadencethemes.com/
– there are 28 posts (and 10 private)
– deactivating the theme seems to fix the Duplicate Queries issue (on the front end)2) However, there still seems to be an issue on the back-end that I can’t get rid of:
– the Woocommerce Orders tab is generating approx 700 queries
– there are 92 orders in total
– all the Events calendar plugins are deactivated and the theme is 2016
– I can’t unplug WooCommerce to check because it’s the Woo orders tab where I see the excessive queries; so I’m thinking it must be WooCommerce causing the problemWhat do you think, would you still like to take a look or should I be talking to the WooCommerce people ?

ParticipantOK, so a couple more tweaks and I think I’ve got things under control ….
Frontend:
– reduced the number of blog posts on the News page to maximum of 8
– total number of queries reduced from 950 to 150Backend:
– reduced the number of orders displayed on the Orders tab to 5
– total number of queries reduced from 850 to 250Thank you,

ParticipantThat is good to know Janice, thanks for pointing this out.
Showing WooCommerce orders does yield a bunch of queries. From what I have seen in the past these are all unfortunately necessary, but I’ll keep this in mind for the next performance audit. Maybe there is something more we can do here?
That is a big reduction! Where you including events in the main blog loop, or did you have some widgets on that page? If you had for instance two Minical widgets, I could see it causing a lot of duplicate queries.
Thanks you for getting back. I’m happy to hear you are getting things under control. If there is more I can do to help please let me know, I’d love to. The above questions are more just for my information, it’s always good to know how people are using the plugin so we can optimize in the future.
Cheers!

ParticipantThank you Brook, it was a blog-grid page-style. I had it set to display all the posts, but now it is set to display only 8 posts in the grid and it has reduced the queries a lot !!

ParticipantOh okay. That adds up. I appreciate you getting back Janice, we are always looking for feedback. And when it comes to performance feedback like you’ve shared is especially helpful because it lets us know how people are using the plugin.
Cheers!
