Hi there,
I continue to have the same issue as first mentioned here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/duplicate-events-7/#post-973699
I have now discovered that the event is being duplicated/reimported/whatever over and over (sometimes 16x) starting just after the event end time.
To ensure this is not a theme or plugin conflict, I created a duplicate test install, switched to TwentyFifteen and deactivated all plugins except The Events Calendar 3.12.1, The Events Calendar PRO 3.12 and The Events Calendar: Facebook Events 3.12.
http://carolineelisa.com/facebookeventtest/events/list/?tribe_paged=1&tribe_event_display=past
And the original site (I routinely delete the duplicates): http://themeteor.co.nz/events/list/?tribe_paged=1&tribe_event_display=past
Look forward to finally resolving this issue.
Thanks

Sorry your original thread there was closed, our Support Droid auto-closes threads after 15 days of inactivity. Thanks for following up here!
I’m also really sorry to hear that your problems are persisting.
I’m curious: in your original thread with me, you reported that the duplication problem did NOT happen on your test site with no other non-Tribe plugins active, and with the Twenty Fifteen theme active…
…However, it seems that on your current site at http://carolineelisa.com/facebookeventtest/, your site is in this state but the problem does persist.
Is this is an accurate description of things?
Also you mentioned in your original thread(s) that your local version of your site did NOT have these duplication issues – is that still the case?
Just curious about where things currently stand – let me know and we can continue troubleshooting from there.
Also: thank you so, so much for your patience with this issue over all of these months. I, for one, am still unable to recreate duplication like this and so the troubleshooting is still challenging. I really appreciate your persistence, and we’re eager to help you get things working smoothly so you don’t have manually log in and delete duplicates all the time! 🙂
Sincerely,
GeorgeSeptember 14, 2015 at 9:02 am #1004899Caroline Elisa HaggertyParticipantThat’s right, the problem is definitely happening on my test install (not sure why it didn’t before, or if I just got confused). I don’t have access to my local installation to check that one today.

To help us further investigate, I’m curious: can you share some Facebook Pages that you are importing from, and also some singular events on facebook.com that are duplicating for you when you import?
Also, do you happen to notice that this problem only with scheduled imports, for example? Or do you have problems with manually-imported events duplicating, too?
Thank you!

We have not manually imported any events.
September 16, 2015 at 1:11 pm #1005750GeorgeParticipantHey Caroline,
Thank your the events and for your patience here!
I wanted to let you know that I have been able to reproduce your problem here, and even with manual import by ID I can still create duplicates!
That is not supposed to happen and we’re investigating to see if there’s a bug at play here – I’m sorry if this is the case, but just wanted to post an update here to keep you informed. I’ll update again soon after some further testing, and some insight from a developer on our team.
Thank you!
