Do I need Event Calendar Pro if I buy the Community event addon?

I think I have the same issue as Myriam. I need to have functionality where people can add their events from the front end. So I think I only need Community Events addon and not sure I need the Pro. However, I bought Event Calendar Pro instead. I think all I need is the Community Events addon. How to rectify?

Thanks for using our plugins. I can help out here.

You do not need Pro for Community Events to work.

You only need Pro if you like the features of Pro such as Additional Fields, Recurring Events, Map View, etc..

If you just like Community Events all you need is the core version of the Events Calendar found for free on WordPress.org: https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/
