In the admin site the Display Settings are apparently saving into the DB but afterwards the settings page in not remembering them – In my case the “Basic Template Settings” default to Tribe Events Styles, Default Events Template and Month views
Entering content into the HTML above and below boxes does work but it will not populate the text editor windows after saving.
