I search the forum but did not see any similar posts… so thank you.

ParticipantHi,
Just updated to WP 4.7….. now my categories have changed? and some category colors are missing from events?
See attached pic…. not sure if this update changes anything since I want the dropdown for categories anyway.
Just a FYI
Thanks

ModeratorHi Mel,
Welcome back to our premium plugin support forums. The author of The Events Calendar Category Colors is not associated with our plugins, so we are unfortunately unable to provide support for these types of requests. For what is covered on our support forums, please review our What support is provided for license holders? Knowledgebase article.
I recommend reviewing the plugin’s support forums and if you still need assistance, try creating a support topic there.
Sorry again we can’t do more and best of luck with the customizations. Cheers!

ParticipantHi again,
I understand the issue of the colors being a 3rd party plugin and will contact them!
One of my questions has to do with categories in general not COLORS. How can I filter events by category as
shown in the 1st pic I attached! The pic show a dropdown when selecting the category. And I would like one
of the dropdown options to say “view all categories”.The colored categories really should be a standard feature. If the 3rd party goes away or stops supporting it
what would thousands of users do? For example, after I upgraded to WP 4.7 the category colors are a mess now!!!
Can I vote for this as a feature request?Thank You

ModeratorHi Mel,
Thank you for the response. I understand your concern, but unfortunately it is a risk you run when using most services. To submit feature requests, please visit our UserVoice Feature Ideas. We are always incorporating the most upvoted ideas, so hopefully yours can be included in an upcoming release.

Unfortunately, this is not a feature included in our plugins, so there’s not much support I can provide. There isn’t a built-in page which displays a list of all categories, but this sounds like something tribe_get_events could help out with. Our Filter Bar plugin might also help in this instance.
Sorry again we can’t do more and if it comes down to it, we have a list of customizers that can help further assist. Good luck and have a great afternoon!

ParticipantHi
Thank you for your reply….
The customizers you listed are fine but I am not willing to pay $500 or more when I can just find another calendar program for $60… but thank you for list.
The example pic of a dropdown to select categories was from your showcase examples! Was that done with the filter bar?
Thanks

ModeratorWelcome back,
If you visit our demo site, you can see what is included in the Tribe Events Bar and the Filter Bar in action.
I am not 100% certain where the dropdown is coming from, but I know it’s not a built-in feature of any of our plugins. I hope this helps clear up any confusion and have a great rest of your day. Cheers!
