ParticipantHello, for some in-explainable reason I am getting a goofy date reading on a series of 4 events, even-though I am certain to have configured it properly. For some reason it skips the first occurrence / the start date. It shows it fine in the small preview window, but then when you click on it, it skips the first week, the start of the event series, and shows the following weeks date. It pertains to all 4 events as per the attached screenshot. Any suggestions how to solve this and for the calendar to start at the proper date of the series? Thank you

MemberHi Marian,
Thanks for reaching out, and I’m so sorry for the trouble here! I’d be more than glad to take a closer look and see what we can do to get your events back on track here. π
To make sure that we’re on the same page concerning what’s happening on your site, would you be willing to share a few extra screencaps that show your events on both the front and back end of your site? In particular, we’d like to see your configuration settings for all of your event series that are displaying incorrectly on the calendar, as well as specifics on how theyΒ should be displaying on your calendar. You can share this image as a private reply if you’d like to ensure that it’s not viewable by anyone outside of our support team!
Thanks, and let me know if you should have any other questions!

ParticipantHello Caroline,
thank you for responding.
This is the back end screenshot for the series of events that I have set up with a start date of 4/17
which you can see live here as the “noon sessions” http://www.delamora.life/events/2017-04/. As you can see, when you hover over the event, it shows you the correct data. However, when you click on it, it shows you this…
…so essentially it “skips” the 4/17 entry. And the same basically is being replicated on the 3 other events that I had circled in my initial screenshot. All three were set up as separate event series, following the same principles as in the above screenshot for the 4/17 event.
Hope this helps for you to tell me how I can easily fix it without having to isolate the 1st events in the 4 individual series…
Can you please send your response to [email protected]
Thank you kindly.
Wishing you well,

MemberHi Marian,
Perfect, thanks for sharing that information with us! It appears as though you do have some plugins installed that could be potentially conflicting with The Events Calendar, so I’d like to try a round of conflict testing next to rule out any issues there. Would you mind taking a few minutes to run through our conflict testing steps and report back on your findings? (If you’re able to create a duplicate staging/test version of your site for testing purposes, we do recommend this, as it allows you to leave your live site as-is while completing our troubleshooting steps!)
Thanks, and let me know if you should have any questions here!

ParticipantHello Caroline,
I do not know where or how to run “through your conflict testing steps”… I do not see anything that points toward that on the back-end of the site. Incidentally I am having one of my web helpers looking into obsolete plugins that he intends to delete from the site in the next few days. Perhaps this might also offer the solution…

MemberHi Marian,
So sorry for the confusion here! I provided a link to our conflict testing guide in my previous post–just in case it didn’t go through for you, here it is again!
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/
These steps should coincide nicely with your planned audit of obsolete plugins! Feel free to give the event series another test after you’ve finished with these steps, and let us know what you’re able to find out! π
