I would like to use a clickable US map (each state can be clicked—already programmed for this capability) to display a filtered version of the events list below it, depending on which state is clicked. (1) How do I get determine the URL of the events list filtered by State (as set up in the event)? Backup plan: I could use categories, so if grabbing the state isn’t possible, then what would be the URL for category selection? (2) Can clicking the states load the list but stay on the page (AJAX) so the user can click other states to refilter events?

Thanks for reaching out with your question.

Filtering by state is unfortunately not possible with the Events Calendar Pro plugin, so the way forward would be using categories. The url structure for the “California” category would be this:

http://www.domain.com/events/category/california/

Of course you can use any slug for the categories, based on your needs.

 

Regarding the AJAX call, that might be possible but would require some custom development, which we are very limited in supporting. However, I can share with you a list of developers from the community who could help you out with customization requests like this:
