GuestHi
We use a 5 day schedule that doesn’t line up with the days of the week. Is there a way to a “Day Title”, manually, separate from the events you add for the day. So something like Day 2 would appear on Monday, with the events of that day listed below. Please refer to this image that I hope will help you understand what I mean.http://digitallama.ca/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/screencapture-wpshindig-1497375783538.png
Also, is there an Add event to my calendar option?
Many thanks

MemberHi Andrew,
Thanks for reaching out! I’m afraid that our plugins don’t have any built-in support for custom week structures at this time. I’m sorry to disappoint. 🙁 You might consider reaching out to a third-party developer who works with our plugins if you’re interested in receiving a custom quote to build this functionality! Otherwise, switching to one of our other calendar views, such as the list view, may be your best approach for avoiding confusion regarding the scheduling of your events.
Regarding your second question, we do offer “add to calendar” options on single events with our Google Calendar and iCal Export buttons. You’ll find these buttons located above the Event Details pane on any single event–here’s an example event from our WP Shindig demo site so you can see what they look like in practice!
I hope that helps! Thanks again for getting in touch, and let me know if you should have any other questions!

GuestHi Caroline
Thanks for replying.
I think I might have thought of alternative solution to getting developer help. Can you let me know if you think this would work?
I create a separate recurring event for each of the 5 days (DAY 1, DAY 2, DAY 3, DAY 4, DAY 5) and plugin the dates that these events fall on manually. Can you have a recurring event and manually assign each date it falls on? This event would then need to appear first in the calendar and agenda list.
Do you think that would work?
Thanks

MemberHi Andrew,
Thanks for following up! Yes, you absolutely can do this type of structure with a recurring event series! In addition to the standard pattern-based repetitions that are supported (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, etc.), you can use the single event recurrence type to set a specific date for each event in your series. You can learn more about recurring events and how to set them up on our Knowledgebase here.
Thanks again, and let me know if you should have any other questions! 🙂

GuestThanks for taking the time to reply.
This is sounding promising. Sorry one more question.
Can I create an event and apply it manually to more than one day. For example, I create a recurring event called DAY 1 and want it to occur on June 16, June 22 and June 28. Can this be done either in the free version or PRO version. Thanks

MemberHi Andrew,
No worries; I’m happy to answer as many questions as you’d like! 🙂 Yes, you can set specific dates for your event recurrences using the single event recurrence type described above. Recurring events of any type are only supported by Events Calendar PRO at this time, so you’ll want to make sure you’ve purchased and installed this plugin along the free version of The Events Calendar to access the event series options.
I hope that helps–let me know if I can clarify anything else for you here!
