Participanti just went to the event itself to edit and needed to delete the event and the same thing happened. I got directed to a blank white screen. No errors , just white nothing

KeymasterHi Lois,
The “White Screen of Death” is usually related to improperly formatted php code. Could you post your functions.php file here via an online code sharing site such as https://www.pastiebin.com/ so I can take a look at it?
Thanks!

KeymasterLois,
Thanks for providing that. I gave it a look, and don’t see any issues. I even pasted it into my test install’s functions.php, and I am able to edit events as normal.
Can you please run through our guide on testing for conflicts to rule out a conflict with your theme or other plugins?
Let me know if the issue persists while using the Twenty Seventeen theme with other plugins disabled.
Thanks,

ParticipantI also have a ticket in to elegant themes as I can’t get a listing of my posts either without a white page. I had read that you 2 play nice together but now I am wondering 🙁

ParticipantI was working away fine and able to see list until I got about 5 events in and then it messed up my site

Participantp.s. – I should be clearer. it isn’t “the white screen of death per se” It is a white screen when I go to see pages, posts, events FROM THE ADMIN DASHBOARD and none of this happened until i began adding events to the PAID version of the event calendar. I had been using the free version without issues.

KeymasterLois,
Just to clarify: you have tried switching to the Twenty Seventeen theme and the issue still persists? What about the issues you are having with Divi? If you switch to Twenty Seventeen, do those issues go away? If you disable the Events Calendar plugins, are the issues in Divi still there? Please let me know the answers to these questions.
The next step would be to enable debugging and logging to see what PHP errors are occurring. Please follow the steps outlined in the WordPress Codex to enable wp_debug and wp_debug_log. Then, visit some of the admin pages that are not displaying properly. There should be a file named “debug.log” added to your wp-content folder. Can you paste the contents of that file here for me to look at?
Thanks!

Participantwill do – I have a deadline on another site so will get to this in the evening. Also, have trouble getting this client to pay and am waiting to hear back that she will, in fact, pay me as she is $700 behind.
Thank you so much for your quick response!
And yes to the above except the debugging. I normally change it to true in the config file but will check the codex as there may be a better way, I tend to do things old-school and that isn’t going to fly in the new internet

ParticipantI tried all of those and then lost the site completely to the point that hostmonster told me I was on my own. Luckily I use Orion and they were able to at least restore the website – odd since they are owned by GoDaddy and hostmonster left me out on a limb.
Now I get a “fatal error” message when I go to see posts, pages & events.EVEN WHEN I turn the plugin off! which I don’t understand at all. But, I know it was the pluging because everything was fine – I kept checking the event list because I had to add reoccurring events (hence, my purchase of the pro version) then after about 5 event edits this began, the blank events and blank page lists, etc – hopefully that will shed some light on something because I am very much in the dark and have lost this client of 10 years once I get her site fixed. Granted, a client who doesn’t understand that these things happen may well be best to lose but I am not at all happy about losing the monthly income.

ParticipantThat all may need clarification as I am completely burnt out from this situation and may need to just uninstall and return the plugin.
It is such an awesome calendar but I have lost so much money trying to make this work, as well as losing the client because she thinks that anyone having a hard time making a calendar can’t be a good web person (even though she has been a client for 10+ years !)
