When I first started using Tickets Plus I thought the “Description” box when creating the ticket in the event would print on the actual ticket that gets emailed to customers, but this appears to not be the case. I would like to change the ticket that is emailed to customers as follows:
    1. The ticket should include the date time start and end of the event
    2. Remove the ticket number and security code
    3. Have the ticket description from the event print on the ticket
    4. Have the additional information on a separate page from the ticket because my tickets include personal information e.g. learning requirements and the nurses submit these tickets to employers so the I’d like for them to be able to submit the ticket with all of the important information they need to get reimbursed without having to disclose personal information.
    5. Company name, address, phone number, contact email, and website at the bottom of the ticket.
    6. iCal and Google Calendar export link on the ticket
    7. An area for special instructions. e.g. parking instructions

    Hi Sarah,

Thanks for reaching out again here!

Just to let you know, we are limited by our Support Policy in how much we can help with customizations, but I will try to point you in the right direction.

I’d recommend starting off by taking a look at our Themer’s Guide, which can show you which templates can be edited and copied in order to achieve the results that you are looking for.

To safely modify the ticket email I would recommend you to make a copy of event-tickets/src/views/tickets/email.php and place that copy in [your-theme]/tribe-events/tickets/email.php

Open the file you just copied to your theme’s directory and modify lines you want.

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

Hi I use Event tickets plus so wouldn’t the src file be under event-tickets
    or event-ticket-plus?

    Hi Jamie,

Thank you for that information I read that advice in your KB however I do not like to add anything to my theme files because I have a very active theme developer that makes wonderful improvements regularly so I only add theme changes to my child theme. Nor my actual theme or my child theme have a tribe event folder to modify said email.php file. Are you suggesting that I create that file structure?
Also after looking at the email.php template to modify the email ticket may I suggest an add on for customization of email tickets. There aren’t a lot of descriptions on what you’re changing and i don’t know what code pulls the information from your plugin that I’m looking for.

    Kind regards,
    Sara

    Hi Sarah,

Yes, the idea here is that you would create that file structure within your theme.  This way, your changes would not be lost when you need to update your plugin.

You can also add this idea to our Feature Requests, as we tend to implement ideas based on customer feedback, so your input is greatly appreciated:

    https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas

If you’d prefer not to tackle this customization on your own, we may be able to assist you further. We do need to prioritize support requests from other customers at this time but I’ll certainly flag this with the team and – although we can’t make any promises – if we have time and space to come back and help, we’ll be happy to do so.  Please let us know if you’d like to go this route so that you can be added to this queue.

In the meantime, if there is any more information you can share (including mocks) that will help us to better understand what you are seeking please do feel free to add them to this ticket.

If you urgently need help with this, however, you may instead wish to consider working with a suitably skilled developer or designer who can offer the additional level of support you require.

Let me know if you have any other questions on this topic!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
