ParticipantI am getting a 500 error when I attempt to access the Customizer while Event Calendar PRO is active. I deactivate it, and I can access the customizer. I reactivate it, and get a 500 error. I need to turn off featured event images in the widget, and as far as I can tell from the knowledgebase, the Customizer is the only place to do this, but it must be a PRO feature in the Customizer since I don’t see it with the PRO version deactivated.
I saw another thread where another person was getting a 500 error, but the solution was private. The only helpful comment that was visible was a mention that fixing an error in the database solved the problem.

MemberHello Susan
Can you start by going through our Testing for Conflicts Guide https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/?ย I am wondering if you might have a plugin or theme conflict.ย Begin by deactivating all other plugins, using a theme such as Twenty Seventeen https://wordpress.org/themes/twentyseventeen/, and see if the issue still persists. Also, double check for any other updates available (Dashboard ยป Updates).ย
Please let me know if the issue still persists after these tests.
Thanks

ParticipantApparently the conflict is with the plugin “Bookly” (http://booking-wp-plugin.com/).
When the Bookly plugin was deactivated, I was able to access the customizer and make the changes I needed to make. Everything looked perfect from within the customizer. However, on the actual site now I am running into the invisible Featured Events in the widget, just like https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/events-list-widget-featured-events-are-blank/I am going to attempt to resolve the problem through CSS to override the invisibility glitch.
I have reactivated the Bookly plugin because it is essential to the functioning of the website. Thankfully I don’t need to use the Customizer very often, so it’s not the end of the world if I can’t get to it easily.

ParticipantI had to deactivate the Bookly plugin again to be able to adjust the CSS code, but I did find the culprit. This is my altered code
.tribe-events-adv-list-widget .tribe-event-featured, .tribe-mini-calendar-list-wrapper .tribe-event-featured {
background: rgb(116, 94, 251);
}I found that the background was set to transparent when I inspected the featured events in the widget. Setting it to pretty much any color fixed the problem.
I am marking this as resolved because I can work around the 500 error when I need to access the Customizer, but I would greatly appreciate it if the conflict could be actually resolved on a future update.
Thank you for your time.

MemberHi Susan
Thank you for sharing that solution to the plugin conflict. Do reach out to Bookly’s plugin developers as well to share your findings.
I’m sorry we couldn’t resolve the conflict, but am thankful that you do have a solution for now.
Thanks
