ParticipantHi,
I’m currently trying to add custom styles to the site. I’ve got tribe-events.css in the tribe folder and that is overriding some of the styles on the calendar. Everything works, except when I go to the next month my styles are lost and it reverts to the standard styling. Please can you advise.
Thanks.

ParticipantHey James,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
I just tested a custom stylesheet on my local install and the styles persisted both when initially loading as well as when navigating through multiple months.
I took a look at your site linked above but didn’t notice any tribe-events.css files being loaded via your theme. Do you still have that file active within your theme?
Thanks!

ParticipantHi
We were using a custom stylesheet, but now we’ve moved to tribe-events.css override and we’re still getting the same problem.
So the styles are loading, but some are not persisting when moving from month to month.
Thanks for your help so far.

ParticipantHello – do you have any advice for us on this? We’re still seeing the problem and can’t figure a way around it. Thanks, James.

ParticipantI’ve noticed that there’s a JS error in the console too. Not sure if it’s connected?
jquery.ba-resize.min.js:9:549 TypeError: undefined is not an object (evaluating ‘r.w=o!==c?o:q.width()’)
Also on smaller screens clicking on a day in the calendar doesn’t show all events for that day. Would you like me to raise this as a separate ticket?
Thanks.

ParticipantHey James,
Thanks for following up here. I can see a little bit of what you’re describing on your site with the styles disappearing. Unfortunately I’m still unable to replicate the issue locally with the latest version of the plugin. When you notice the issue, are all of your custom styles added in the theme style override lost when switching views or is it just a few of the styles.
The javascript error you describe would definitely be a performance issue with the plugin. It looks like it is also the root issue with the mobile event issue you describe. That error is triggered on resize so if you resize to mobile, the calendar doesn’t work. However, if you then do a refresh on the page (without resizing) the mobile calendar works perfectly.
Finding the root of that js error and dequeueing that script or modifying would help that issue and could potentially get us closer on the style issue as well.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

ParticipantHi,
Thanks for your reply. We’ve fixed the JS error but the problem is still there. Pretty certain the issue is related to the plugin – any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Lee

ParticipantHey Lee,
Awesome! Glad you were able to get the js error resolved. I assume this fixed the mobile calendar issues you were describing?
A couple of quick things on the style issue to help me in trying to replicate the issue or see what may be happening here.
- Can you send me your System Information in a private reply?
- Can you also send me a screenshot of the file structure within the “tribe-events” folder that you have in your active theme?
- Finally, can you test by switching to a default WordPress theme and adding the same “tribe-events” folder to that theme and see if the issue persists?
Thanks!
