ParticipantHi, I’m using Events Calendar Pro with Community Events (on a new webproject which isn’t live yet) and I would like to add a custom field to the Events that should only be visible in the backend (and on the community events add event page) (it’s a radiobutton if an event should be translated or not).
I found a page where I can hide all custom fields from the frontend but not a single field (while showing possible other fields).Could you please give me some clue how to achieve this?
Thanks in advance!
Kind regards,

KeymasterHi Job,
Thanks for reaching out!
The simplest way would be to hide the field with CSS. This post has an example, but if you get stuck, please send me a link to the page and I’ll be happy to point you in the right direction! Alternatively, you could also customize the template by following these instructions. The template for that section of the page can be found at wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar-community-events/src/views/community/modules/custom.php.
Let me know how that works and if you have any questions!
Thanks,
Jennifer

ParticipantThanks for your reply Jennifer, hiding fields using CSS is a possibility, but I would like to prefer to remove them altogether. I found a support document to hide all fields from the frontend (using a PHP-function) and was wondering if it could be tweaked so it removes only one particular field from the frontend. (see this page)
Thanx in advance

KeymasterHello,
You could tweak the code to remove just one field, or editing the template that I mentioned before should also remove the field from the event page entirely (instead of just hiding it). This type of customization is a bit outside the scope of support that we are able to provide here in the forums, but if you get stuck with the code, please send me what you have – I’ll be happy to take a look and see what I can recommend!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
