ParticipantAfter upgrading to the events calendar PRO – we are no longer able to control or customize how the default page looks. IT seems to be completely ignoring our default-template.php file and no changes we make have any effect.
Please advise. We’d like to provide you with WP Admin / FTP to help us get this straightened out as fast as possible. Our website project is at a stand-still, and our entire Events Section has completely fallen apart since our having paid for the upgrade to Pro.
POSTNOTE: this is now be the THIRD time I have tried to post this request here. Every time I finish writing up our support request, this form simply throws everything away, and returns with: “ERROR: Your topic cannot be empty.”
Thank You

MemberGood evening DanielleĀ and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
First of all, let me apologize for all the trouble leading up to getting an answer to your questions.
We are sorry for the difficulty posting the question as well as the accidental Solved status.Thank you for reaching out to us. It will be a pleasure helping you with the issue at hand.
Unfortunately, our policy does not allow us to log in to clients websites for several reasons, including liability.
With that in mind, as a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your system information in a private reply please ?
As a second step, I also recommend “flushing” the permalinks (re-saving them without changing anything). And let me know if that changes anything ?
Have a great weekend!

ParticipantGeoff,
It would see that the problem had to do with your Events –> Settings –> Basic Template Settings –> Events Template. I am not sure what setting we had in there, but after updating what was chosen there… we were able to get this working again. Thank YOu.

MemberGood evening James,
This is awesome! I am glad my hunch paid off for you, but more importantly, I’m happy that it all works again.
Kudos on fixing it.
You are always welcome back here if there is anything.
Have a great day!
Geoff B.
