    Hello,

    I have all my images uploaded to the wordpress library. When I import some events from a .csv, it doesn’t import the featured images.

    I have tried it pointing to my library images and to an external image url, with the same result.

    Am I doing anything wrong?

    Hello George,

    I’m working in localhost for the moment. I have cleaned all my event database and I have imported it again. It works ok with the featured images but it doesn’t if I update the events. I have read before that it’s a bug. Is there any solution? Am I doing anything wrong?

    Thank you for your update.

    1. You say, “I have read before that it’s a bug.” Can you please link to where you read this? I just want to confirm your finding and see if there is, indeed, a bug.

    2. The problem here, to me, seems to be that you are using localhost. To test this, I would recommend manually editing your CSV file and replacing some of the localhost image URLs with this URL:
    • http://dummyimage.com/300/09f.png

    ☝️ Then try re-importing, and see if the events on which you made this change import THAT testing image URL any differently than the localhost ones.

    Hello George,

    I still have this problem. I have a big big events database, and I’m normalizing it each day. So I reupload the .csv’s a lot of times. When I reupload them, some (most of them) featured images just are deleted.

    I’m trying to find the thread where one of your mates says “it’s a bug” but I can’t find it right now. I’ll keep searching it.

    Edit: I Found the thread:

    Event featured image – disappearing when I re-import the event.

    Thank you for sharing this!

    I will investigate the nature of this being a bug.

    In the meantime, have you tried importing CSVs that have images that are NOT hosted on localhost?

    In other words, images that are hosted on a remote server online like http://dummyimage.com/300/09f.png?

    If so, were the results any different?

    I tried it with localhost images and a lot of different urls (I’m talking abou more than 2k events with differents venues and organisers.

    Thank you—I will investigate this and do believe there is a bug affecting this. If that’s confirmed to be the case, then a fix will likely not arrive for at least another week or two (at the earliest), but we are working on this!
