ParticipantWhen I import items with event aggregator, I want to put them under:
/about/events/<event-name>
Is that possible? Also – when viewing the event page, it doesnt honor my themes styles, and is cutting off half of the event.
What do I do?

KeymasterHi Barry,
You can assign categories to events when setting up the import; category pages have the URLĀ events/category/your-category/.
By default, events have the URL yoursite.com/event/event-name – if you want to change this structure to yoursite.com/about/events, then you would need to do a customization.
Regarding the theme styles, I would first try adjusting the “Default stylesheet used for events templates” and “Events template” settings under Events > Settings > Display. These affect how much events pages inherit their styling from the theme. If that doesn’t help, then you might need to add some CSS…we are limited in the amount of support that we can provide for customizations and integrations like this, but if you can send me a direct link to the page, along with your complete system info, I’ll be happy to take a look and see what I can recommend!
Thanks,
Jennifer

adjust to change the pathJune 8, 2018 at 8:24 am #1549318Jennifer
KeymasterHi Barry,
We do not have specific instructions for modifying the URL; the themer’s guide is meant to be a starting point for making customizations. You would need to look through the plugin files to determine how to change the structure…I did a quick search myself, and I would recommend starting by taking a look at the getLink function found in wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/Main.php. Note that any changes should be made either by using template overrides as described in our themer’s guide or by using the hooks that you find in our core plugin files. We never recommend updating core plugin files, as any changes made there will be erased the next time you update the plugin.

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
