ParticipantHi!
Enjoying this very well thought out plugin!
Having a challenge with the facebook connection. Clicking on the login button opens the connecting screen. This screen sits without change except for the little icon indicating its working. What step did I miss?
Thanks
Harry

MemberHey Harry,
Thank you for reaching out to us! I’m very sorry about this issue you are experiencing, let me help you to solve it.
Did you try to login to Facebook using a different browser? If the issue persists, could you please go to Events > Settings > APIs tab and under Facebook check if you are already connected? If you are, please click on “Refresh your connection with Facebook” button to see if it changes anything.
If the issue persists after trying to refresh your connection, I would suggest you to click on “Disconnect” and after that reconnect to Facebook again.
I hope this helps! Let me know if the issue persists after following these steps and I’ll be happy to further investigate your case.
Regards,
Patricia

ParticipantHi Patricia,
Tried a different browser. It is still being naughty. Clicking the connect to facebook button on API or selecting facebook on the import Origin drop down and then log into facebook has the same effect.

MemberHi Harry,
I’m sorry to know that the issue persists even after accessing your site using different browsers.
Since I can’t replicate the issue from here, I believe that there is a plugin or theme conflict causing this problem.
Can you please make sure that all of your plugins are up to date? If they were updated and the issue persists, could you please temporarily deactivate all of your plugins (except Modern Tribe plugins) and change your theme to another one like Twenty Seventeen and let us know if the issue persists after that? You will find further information about our conflict test here.
Also, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share with us any messages you see while trying to delete recurring events. All WP_DEBUG messages will be stored in a debug.log file in /wp-content/debug.log.
Please share with us your test results. If you need anything else in the mean time, please let me know and I’ll be happy to assist!
Best regards,
Patricia

MemberHi Harry,
Our “Other URL” import option is officially in Beta phase: at this moment it is quite stable and functional, but it’s not yet complete: our development team is still working to improve this feature. That’s probably the reason why you are unable to import events from this URL now.
I’ve been reviewing this issue you are experiencing while trying to connect Events Aggregator to Facebook and found some cases where customers were blocked by their browsers because tracking protection was enabled: meaning that they were trying to connect to Facebook while using a Private (Incognito) browser window.
Can you please make sure that you are not accessing your site and trying to connect EA to Facebook in a private browser window?
If you are not in incognito and the issue persists, please try to connect to Facebook again using Google Chrome and while in this page, press F12 to use Chrome Developer Tools. After that click on the Console menu and send us a screenshot / let us know if you see any errors in there. You will find further information about Chrome Developer tools here.
Please let me know your test results.
Thanks!
Patricia

ParticipantThat was a quick fix. I run privacy badger on my browsers. Turned that off and it works!
