ParticipantHello,
I recently purchased EVENTS CALENDAR PRO and am having difficulty getting it setup properly… I have a WP site I’ve already built, and I simply want to add an Events Calendar to on of my existing pages… is this not possible? It seems that I have to create a brand new page specifically for the calendar… is that correct?
I was assuming there would simply be a plugin widget that I could drop onto any of my existing pages and viola! the calendar would be there. Was I incorrect in my assumption?
Any help/feedback would be greatly appreciated. If this isn’t possible I’m going to have to find a different plugin to use which would be a shame.
Thanks for your time,

MemberHi,
Thanks for trying out our plugins and sorry for the confusion. I can help out here.
The Events Calendar does not have shortcodes to display the main views of Month, List, Map, Photo, Etc.
It only has shortcodes for the Pro Widgets.
So you are correct it creates an archive for the main views with the default slug /events/ which can be changed in the event settings.
Let me know if you have any follow up questions.
Thanks

ParticipantI did indeed purchase the PRO version. So are you saying that with PRO version, I’m able to simply add a calendar I’ve created to any currently existing page in my WordPress site? If so, how? I can’t figure out how to do that. From what I’m seeing, I can only create a brand new page on the site that has the calendar. I want to add the calendar to an existing site, not create a new page for the calendar.
Is that possible?
Thanks,

MemberHi,
Sorry for not making it clear it is the Pro Widgets only that have shortcodes.
That is the MiniCalendar, Event List, Countdown, and Venue Widgets:
http://wpshindig.com/event-widgets/
The main views of Month, List, Map, etc are only on the archive section setup by the plugin.
If that is a deal breaker we are sorry to see you go, but would like you to get what you are looking for and you can follow our refund policy:
And we can take care of it. Thanks
