    Hi there,

I’m encountering an issue where upon creating an unmodified copy of the list/single-event.php within the recommended Child Theme folder which unexpectedly causes the Events List view on my site to display with a huge featured image thumbnails and broken formatting.

I was able to find another customer’s support thread here describing the identical issue, as well as citing his usage of Avada being the culprit. Unfortunately, I don’t really understand what he did to work around the issue.

    How to reproduce the issue…

    • Copy from: /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/views/list/single-event.php
    • To: /wp-content/Avada-Child-Theme/tribe-events/list/single-event.php

I’m running Avada 5.5.1 / The Events Calendar 4.6.15 / The Events Calendar Pro 4.4.26

    Thanks for your help!

    Pat,

Avada has customized this particular template to fit their theme. Copying the template from The Events Calendar and using it as a starting point is not the way to go. You need to start with Avada’s modified version in the /wp-content/themes/Avada/tribe-events folder. Copy it to your Avada-Child-Theme/tribe-events/list/… and modify it to your liking.

Please note that this only applies to files that exist in the Avada/tribe-events folder. If there’s a template that is NOT present in this folder, then you can use the one from The Events Calendar.

    Hope this helps.

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
