ParticipantDear Support,
As of today we have a conflict between our Divi Theme and the video module they have and Events Calendar Pro. When you click on the video link that would activate a youtube video, the link would not go to the video but to an event page of Event Calendar Pro. For example on page https://www.designsolutions.nl/driveworks/
For now we have deactivated the Events Calendar Pro plugin because none of the videos would work then. The problems exists as of today and we do not have a clue how to solve the conlfict.
Can you help us out?
Thanks,
ArnaudJune 23, 2016 at 11:56 pm #1131378Geoff B.
MemberGood evening Arnaud and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the potential conflict with the Divi theme’s video module.
I would love to help you with this topic. As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
That way I will be able to setup my install to try to reproduce (and hopefully solve) the issue.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberGood evening Arnaud,
Thank you for the system info.
Based on your setup, I have a couple of recommendations:
- You might want to read our recommended WPML setup for best compatibility and complete it’s instructions: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/setting-up-the-events-calendar-with-wpml/
- When you upgrade, can you try ensuring that your WP Super cache is off and cleared ?
- After the upgrade, could you try re-saving your permalinks ?
- After the upgrade could you try the WPML > Support > Troubleshooting page option and use the top 3 buttons ?
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

MemberGood evening Arnaud,
Thank you for trying my recommendations.
I’m sorry that this did not work out for you.I did some extensive additional testing and I was able to reproduce the issue.
It looks like the oEmbed features from 4.2+ in Pro are interfering with Divi’s videos oEmbed. This is a legitimate bug and I have opened a bug ticket for it. We are sorry about the inconvenience this is causing.
Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date for a fix at this point. But you will be contacted as soon as there is one.
The good news is that I have a workaround for you. If you go to: https://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads/, download and install version 4.1.3 of Pro (instead of 4.2+), the bug will disappear completely. You can leave the free version at 4.2+
Another workaround would be to keep the current version of your plugins, but to add the following snippet to your theme / child theme’s functions.php: https://git.io/vo5f9
That second fix will not work retroactively though. You will need to update/re-save your content.
Best regards and thank you for bringing this to our attention,
Geoff B.

ParticipantHi Geoff,
Thanks for your reply and workaround. By chance, I found one myself by hardcoding a youtube link, using the code module in Divi.
Thanks again!

MemberGood afternoon Arnaud,
I’m glad the workarounds helped!
You are welcome back on our support forums any time 🙂
For now, I am going to close this thread. But you will still be contacted when the fix is released.
Have a great week!
