Last year, Barry told me the only way to delete tickets is via manual edits in the MySQL database (see this thread: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/deleting-attendees/ ). I’ve read through the forums here and it seems the new version has added that much-needed feature in. I assume I don’t have to touch the database backend anymore?
Can you confirm the steps needed to fully delete test/live orders? This is what I have so far:
1) Delete the ticket/attendee from the “ATTENDEE LIST”
2) Go into WooCommerce order editor and delete that item/total order.
3) Go to the actual product ID in Woocommerce and manually edit the inventory/total sales numbers to reflect the change (OR IS THAT CHANGED WHEN I DELETE THE TICKET/ATTENDEE?)
Am I missing anything? Or are these steps in the wrong order?
Hopefully you will no longer need to manually adjust the database 🙂
Essentially, the change means you can remove an entry from the attendee list – whether or not you also cancel/refund the order via WooCommerce is really a separate decision (and you can do these operations in whichever order makes sense for you).
In the case of WooCommerce Tickets, the total sales figure is amended automatically when you remove an attendee.
I’ll go ahead and close this thread – but of course if we can help with anything else please don’t hesitate to create new threads as needed … and, if you have a moment, we’re always keen to hear about your thoughts and experiences of The Events Calendar on our review page 🙂
