GuestI volunteer for a community based civic association. We are redesigning website using Avada theme. Our plan\ is to have an event calendar for meetings & events we will conduct. Some of our events are free & others will require a fee to be paid.
An event coming up is a holiday house decorating whorkshop, 2 sessions on the same day. Once participant chooses the timeslot they wish to attend they must choose from 2 types of participation; member & non-member (with different prices points). To add an additional headache to the equation; once participant selects member or non-member they will have another choice in type of house they will be decorating (Gingerbread or Hanukkah)
As I only have BASIC skills the system we select has to be easy to use. Also, wanted to know about pricing for community based organizations. Filled out form but have not heard back from Modern Tribe.November 22, 2016 at 3:40 pm #1196211George
ParticipantHi Noreen,
Thanks for reaching out!
When it comes to your nonprofit application, if you haven’t heard back I would encourage you to check your spam filter in your email inbox; we often reply within 24–48 hours, so when folks report not having heard back from us it is usually a matter of our reply email not making it to their inbox.
As for the specific event you describe:
An event coming up is a holiday house decorating whorkshop, 2 sessions on the same day. Once participant chooses the timeslot they wish to attend they must choose from 2 types of participation; member & non-member (with different prices points). To add an additional headache to the equation; once participant selects member or non-member they will have another choice in type of house they will be decorating (Gingerbread or Hanukkah)
Here is the best way to make this event:
• Make two separate events, one for the first session and one for the second session.
• On each event, make a ticket for each combination of time slot and member type. So, for example each of these things would be a ticket option that the user can buy:- $a — Time Slot 1, Member
- $b — Time Slot 1, Non-Member
- $c — Time Slot 2, Member
- $d — Time Slot 2, Non-Member
- $e — Time Slot 3, Member
- $f — Time Slot 3, Non-Member
• On each ticket, use the “Attendee Information” features of Event Tickets Plus so that each ticket has a choice of what type of house they’ll be decorating. You can read more about those features here → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/collecting-attendee-information/
☝️ While this may seem complicated, it’s the most straightforward way of making an event with the tickets configurations necessary based on your description of things.
I hope this helps!
