    Hi all,

I’m using your community events extension.

    My question:
How to define fields as required fields – for example: start date of an event

    Hi all,

    one more question.

When using the community events extension I can’t select category fields when writing a new event.

    What’s wrong?

    Thank you for assistance.

    Regards
    Peter

    Good afternoon Peter,

Would it possible for you to send me the URL where the category field is not working ?

Could you also please go through our testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out?

Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is (theme or plugin).

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Good evening Peter,

Thank you for the information. I went ahead and tested things out.

I see what you mean, in the HTML, all input boxes from the Community Events Front-end form are “disabled”. I am sorry about that.

There could be a couple of reasons for this:

    • Not using the latest version of our plugins (I would recommend making a backup and updating to the latest version of all our plugins)
    • There could be a limitation on the permissions and capacities of the subscribers (front-end users) preventing them from using the checkboxes
    • There could be a plugin or theme conflict, which is why I still recommend to go through our testing for conflicts procedure to establish if that’s the case.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.
