Community Events not working – "Are you sure you want to do this?"

I’ve tried to be patient, but to date, in more than a year, I don’t think I’ve had more than a couple of successful submissions through the Community Events plugin. At one point it worked, but over the last month or two I keep getting complaints that it won’t work. I just tested it myself and sure enough, I get the “Are you sure you want to do this?” screen.

This would be a great plugin, if it worked, but I’m incredibly frustrated that it seems like it is prone to the same issues.

Perhaps it would help if you worked with Gravity Forms? I’ve never had an issue with their post submission form, and I’d far rather integrate with Gravity Forms anyway.

Is there something we can do to get Community Events working?

Howdy Andrew,

I am sorry this has been affecting you so long. I am glad you reached out. On rare occassion we have seen folks with this issue, and there have been a couple of simple fixes that have worked for everyone so far:

1. Temporarily try disabling W3 Total Cache
2. Try flushing your permalinks. The first subheading in this guide walks you through this short procedure: Troubleshooting 404 Page Not Found error

After doing both of those things try doing a test submission. Do you still get the error? If so, you might try reenabling W3TC. A few people have been able to reenable it without issue.

Does the above help get the form working, at least temporarily?
