ParticipantHello Modern Tribe!
A year ago I installed Community Events in a website that was implemented in Greek only and things work fine there ever since.
Recently the site owners decided to turn the website multilingual to support the English language as well. We have made all proper changes using mainly WPML. The Events Calendar works smoothly, but the Community Events urls work only for Greek.
Is this related to our license key that has expired? Should we renew our license key to solve the problem? Or is it a known issue of Community Events and it cannot support multilingual websites? Thanks in advance!

MemberHi Evangelia,
Thanks for getting in touch. Would you mind posting your question in our Community Events forum? This forum is for pre-sales questions, and we handle support in the other forums. If you post there, we’ll get you a response as soon as possible.
Thanks,

ParticipantSorry, but it seems I cannot post in the support forum since my license has expired. And my question is: should I renew to solve my problem or it is quite irrelevant and there is no solution to my problem, so I should not mind renewing and stick with what works?

MemberHi Evangelia,
Renewing will not directly solve your problem- the plugin continues to work properly even without a valid license. The issue you’re seeing is not a result of the license, but of a different conflict, probably with WPML. There is a chance that we could help out via our support forums (if you renewed) but I definitely can’t guarantee that. You might want to check out our PRO forum (you can read and search, just not post) since others have asked about issues with WPML. Unfortunately, it is likely that the conflict is with WPML and Community Events and is currently unavoidable. I wish I could bring you better news.

ParticipantHi, Leah!
Thanks for your prompt and honest response!
I see that several users of the Events Calendar report issues with WPML and I see that you have been investigating the situation for quite some time now. Is there any chance that if I renew and download the latest release, the plugins will cooperate better now?
I am currently running TEC 2.0.11 and Community Events 1.0.1.1.BR,

MemberHi Kelly,
Actually, 2.0.11 is our latest release for TEC. Community Events is now at 1.0.5. I’m really not sure it would work better, and I certainly wouldn’t want to guarantee that. We haven’t done any major work on WPML compatibility because it’s a huge task and we’ve been focusing on our 3.0 release. But if you want to try uploading Community Events 1.0.5 to see if that works, shoot me an email referencing this thread to [email protected].
Thanks,

ParticipantHi Leah!
Thanks for your response, sorry I took me so long to get back. In the meantime I have read all related resources available on the Internet and renewed my subscription to post to the Pro Forum.
I had no luck so far…
I will try to update to the latest version of TEC as you suggest and see if things improve. Thanks a lot for the support!

MemberHi Kelly,
If you’ve bought PRO, definitely make sure that you update both PRO and TEC to the current version, 2.0.11. If you need any further help, feel free to post in the PRO forum. Thanks for your support!
