1. Is the Community Events plugin a standalone plugin or is the Events Calendar needed as well? I just want the community to submit events. I would like the ability to edit/tweak them on the admin dashboard if needed.
2. If the Community Events is a standalone does it work with iCal? I’d like to hook up iCal events and auto feed them.
Good questions! Community Eventsdoes require The Events Calendar in order to work. That means both The Events Calendar and Community Events need to be installed and active on your site together.
That said, The Events Calendar does work seamlessly with our iCal Importer add-on, which allows you to import events from an outside calendar with a valid iCal file or URL.
