Community events add-on bugs

After updating, I got the white screen and had to disable the plugins. I reinstalled them manually and got it working but am still having errors.

1). On the page where you enter the community events, it is duplicating my before & after content located in the advanced template settings:

2). Also, I’m wondering if there’s a better way to add a “Submit Community Event” button on the main calendar page. Currently, my shortcode styling doesn’t work and is very recessive. I there was a way to add this in my sidebar widget? This would also be useful.

Welcome to our support forums and thanks for reaching out to us! I’m glad you could sort the issue with the plugin update/activation, sorry for that.

Regarding the issues you describe above…

1). On the page where you enter the community events, it is duplicating my before & after content located in the advanced template settings:

I’ve tried to reproduce this locally, but it’s working as expected. Can you please follow the steps described in our Testing for conflicts guide? This way we can see if this is a problem in our plugin or a conflict with the theme or other installed plugins.

2). Also, I’m wondering if there’s a better way to add a “Submit Community Event” button on the main calendar page. Currently, my shortcode styling doesn’t work and is very recessive. I there was a way to add this in my sidebar widget? This would also be useful.

You could add this as a text widget (https://cloudup.com/c4GgVciERUa), and then give that a little styling if needed.
