I am having an issue with the Community Events plug in. When I am logged in and I go to submit an event, I just get a white screen. It used to work, but after I added Calendar PRO it stopped working. I have deactivated and deleted PRO, but it still doesn’t seem to be allowing me to add an event. I tried creating a new user other than the admin user and I still have had no luck.

Good evening Derek and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the screen turning white after a submitted event. Yikes!
I would love to help you with this topic.

If deactivating the Pro plugin does not fix the issue, that probably means that there is some other type of conflict at play.

Could you tell me which version of the Canvas theme you are using and if there were any customizations made to it ?

By the sound of it, it looks like there is some type of conflict at play.
This is usually because of:

1. A conflict with another plugin
2. A conflict with your WordPress theme
3. A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating

A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.

The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out.

Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:

1. Make a backup of your database
2. Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)

Finally, I would recommend taking a look the Console in Google Chrome’s developer tools as there are some warnings I would recommend taking a look at.

Hang in there!

Best regards,

Geoff B.

We have Canvas 5.11.3.
Here is what I did:
1. Switched themes to 2015. It works fine.
2. Deactivated all other plugins. It works fine. (I tested it in Chrome and Firefox)
3. Started activating plugins one at a time until it went to the white screen. If it went to the white screen I deactivated that plugin to see if it came back and it did each time. I found it to go white when I activated these plugins: User Role Editor, VaultPress, Widgetize pages Light, WP Rocket, WP User Avatar, WP-DBManager, Yoast SEO.

I can live without User Role Editor, Widgetize pages Light and WP User Avatar. But, VaultPress, WP Rocket, WP-DBManager and Yoast are ones I need.
