    Hi,

before we purchase I want to check that the following options are doable:

    1) On the homepage (not sidebar) a grid layout of X number of events with pagination
    2) Ability to list events FROM <-> TO specific dates via a form, ideally a date picker

Think that’s it. Everything else requested is pretty much standard or I’ve seen how to do it in other threads.

    Thanks.

    Hey Hedley,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Unfortunately, neither feature you describe here is possible “out of the box” with our plugins. 🙁 Both would be possible only by writing some extensive custom code, which you would have to do on your own or with the help of a developer. We have more information about customizations here ? http://theeventscalendar.com/customizations

When it comes to your second item, specifically—the “Events Between:” filter—this is not something we have at present but our plugins do let you filter by month and by week. It’s not quite what you’re looking for, of course, but I just wanted to mention it. You can see these basic date parameters in action on our demo site here ? http://wpshindig.com/events

Let me know if there is anything else I can try to help with! 😀

    Hi George,

thanks for getting back to me.

Re the first option. Do you have a demo of what is possible in terms of showing events from withing a page rather than on an events page or sidebar.

    Thanks,

    Hedley

    Hey Hedley,

When it comes to showing events in a page, the only options we currently provide are the “Widget shortcodes.” These shortcodes output the same content as a widget, but since they are shortcodes, you can put them in any post content, page content, etc., instead of being limited to putting them only in a sidebar.

You can learn more about the widgets, and their shortcode equivalents here:

    • https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/events-calendar-widgets/

    I hope this helps!

    Cheers,
    George

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
