Claudia
GuestHi Events Calendar team!
I’m building a website for a new cinema in my city and i think Events Calendar Pro could be the perfect plugin for our needs. However i was wondering if it contains an important feature we need.
As in every cinema a film (the event) is repeated many times a day, several times a week for weeks. Would it be possible to manage all this dates and times for the same movie from a single event? For example:
Pulp Fiction:
Monday 14 – 17:00; 20:00
Wednesday 16 – 16:00;
Friday 18 – 20:00; 22:00Or would it be more like different events with the same name (cause it’s the same movie) so we can put different dates and times?
Pulp Fiction: Monday 14 – 17:00
Pulp Fiction: Monday 14 – 20:00
Pulp Fiction: Wednesday 16 – 16:00
Pulp Fiction: Friday 18 – 20:00
Pulp Fiction: Friday 18 – 22:00I hope i explained myself 🙂
Thank you so much,
Claudia

MemberHi there Claudia,
Thanks for getting in touch and for your interest in our products 🙂
Events Calendar PRO comes with recurring events which can be created based on repetition patters and exclusions or by pointing the date in which the event should re-occur. You can read more about it here and check if the available options would work for the movies → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-recurring-events/
Also, while we don’t have a trial period, you can go ahead and purchase the products for testing. If you decide they are not what you are looking for, you can ask for a full refund within 30 days of purchase. For more information take a look at our refund policy.
Please let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with,
Best,

GuestThank you so much Nico!
The recurring events post helped me a lot, but reading it arose another question. I saw that when creating an event you obviously have to set a start time but also the time it finishes. Would it be possible to set that finish time (so the plugin doesn’t go mad and think it lasts forever) but not showing it when the event is published? Because it’s not very common to see when de movie ends, only the sessions it starts. If this option doesn’t exist, would editting its css be possible?
Thanks again,
Claudia

MemberSure that’s possible Claudia!
The events needs to have an end time, but you can hide that in the events listings and in single event pages with a snippet or template override (as described in our themer’s guide).
You are welcome, let me know if you have further questions!
