ParticipantHi Guys or Gals,
I’m have a problem with changing the wording of the “Tickets Unavailable Message” on the single event page. I located the file which controls this message at /wp-content/plugins/event-tickets/src/Tribe/tickets.php
line 1376, but I’m not sure how to implement it into the child theme, eg folder structure ( I have read the theme mod guidelines). There is no entry in any of the Translation files, which is how I normally would change something. You can see the message on my website here
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks guys!
Cheers
James

ParticipantHi,
Just letting you know that I have changed the wording directly within the core file at /wp-content/plugins/event-tickets/src/Tribe/tickets.php until I can find a solution which won’t be overwritten when I update the plugin.
Cheers

ModeratorJames,
Using a filter based on the function in charge of the triggers near line 1376 of /wp-content/plugins/event-tickets/src/Tribe/tickets.php shouldn’t be too difficult. Unfortunately we’re not in the position to help with these customizations, but this list of customizers is a helpful resource if things get above your level of comfort an expertise. This is also a helpful resource on hooks and filters.
Sorry I can’t do more here and good luck with the customizations. Thanks for choosing PRO and have a great rest of your weekend. Cheers!

ParticipantThanks Hunter for the reply but it is of little help.
In fact, for the time it took you to write your reply, you could have given me a line of code to put in my function.php file and it would have been done. So I will stick with hard coding it into the core file.
The reason I put in a ticket, was because all the other ticket messages can be change in the event calendar translation file, except for this particular message.
Close this post if you want Hunter because I have never got a resolution to any of my questions from you when you answer my posts, nothing personal just a fact!

ModeratorHey James,
Welcome back! My apologies if my answers in the past haven’t lived up to your expectations. Hopefully our Change the wording of any bit of text or string article can help resolve your issue.
As much as I’d love to provide custom code in every instance, we are limited on what we’re able to provide (see What support is provided for license holders?) Additionally, team members have different strengths and we do the best to match up said strengths with relative support inquiries, but we have a process and guidelines that help keep us on track.
I’ll close this thread out but please feel free to open a new thread if you have any more questions. Cheers 🙂
