ParticipantCurrently the events switch over around 7pm but we’d like to have them switch at 12pm. Any combination of changing the time zone in WP settings and the “end of day” option has no effect. We’ve updated to the most recent versions of WP and the plugin.

ParticipantHey,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
This is definitely a strange issue to be having. I’ve setup an install locally and will be checking a couple of events to ensure they pass and the days switch as expected.
In the meantime, have you tried following the Testing for Conflicts procedures? We’ve seen some issues in the past where other plugins or themes will have settings or configurations that cause strange issues with the timestamp.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

ParticipantJosh,
The theme used is twentythirteen and all other plugins have been disabled with the same problem. I have encountered issues before where the server time is not set correctly. But I don’t think that’s the issue here because nothing changes when changing the time zone or “end of day” setting and we’ve tried it on 2 different servers.January 21, 2015 at 7:49 am #935659Josh
ParticipantHey Ty,
Thanks for following up.
Definitely a very strange issue. Would you mind going the the Event Settings -> Help tab and copying the system information from the bottom of that page and sending it to us as a private message?
Thanks!

ParticipantHey!
Thanks for providing that information.
It looks like you upgraded to the latest version of the plugin from version 3.1? I’ll have to check with our team tomorrow to see if there are some potential settings stored in the database from older versions that could be playing a role in this issue.
Thanks!

ParticipantThe update was also done after the problem persisted. We thought that might be the issue.

ParticipantWould a login help speed this up?

ParticipantHey Ty,
Sorry for the delay!
One thing that was brought up was the potential of switching the WordPress time from being the city option to a UTC version. Was this something that you tried in the previous pass?
Also, were the additional plugins listed in the system information above still active when making the previous test?
Thanks!

ParticipantI believe multiple options were tried for the time zone. No plugins have been activated or deactivated since the system info was sent.

ParticipantHey Ty,
I hate to push the issue but want to make sure that all the bases are covered. When testing different options, were different cities tested or was UTC tested as well? Also, in the original test, were all the additional plugins deactivated to ensure there wasn’t a conflict with any of the existing third-party plugins?
Thanks!

ParticipantAs answered before. Yes, many options were tried regarding the time zone. Yes the plugins were deactivated.

ParticipantHey Ty,
This is definitely a strange issue that I’ve currently been unable to replicate.
Would you be able to setup a default install on your current hosting plan and add only the Events Calendar plugins to the site. If the problem persists on this new site, would you then give us login credentials so we can take a closer look at things.
If the issue doesn’t persist on the new site, would you be able to give us a database dump of the existing site so we can see if there is something extra being stored in there that might be causing the conflict?
I apologize for the inconvenience but hopefully we’ll be able to get to the bottom of the issue.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Ty,
Thanks for following up.
If you were noticing a day change happening at 7:oo pm with the server set at UTC, I switched it to UTC – 5. Being based out of NY I imagine that would be your desired time (EST)?
I’ve tracked it over the course of the evening and the upcoming list (/events) stayed displaying January 29th until it transitioned to the 30th at midnight. Can you verify that it is switching over as expected now?
Thanks!
