change the word "RSVP"

how can i change the word “RSVP”? my clients are not that familiar with this term.

Yes, you can absolutely do that.

You could tweak and apply the following snippet in the functions.php file of your theme (without the PHP tag at the top): https://gist.github.com/GeoffEW/0e6fe4cf5fb894f034caa9bd7887b6bf

But first to be extra safe, before making any changes to your functions.php file, you should make a backup of that file.

Ir works in parts. Headline is OK now but the fields for reservation confirmations dont work:
$custom_text = array(
‘Confirm RSVP’ => ‘Bestätige Reservierung’,
‘RSVP’ => ‘Reservierung’,
‘Please fill in the RSVP confirmation name and email fields.’ => ‘Bitte fülle die Felder für die Reservierungsbestätigung aus.’,
‘Send RSVP confirmation to:’ => ‘Sende Reservierungsbestätigung an:’
