ParticipantWe need to change the email address in the from field, wording of the email subject, and email body of the RSVP confirmation emails.
All our tickets are FREE, but we use RSVP functionality to limit how many people can register for an event and also to notify registrants that they are registered. However, the current default wording of confirmation emails is confusing and misleading. It has words like ticket, ticket type, purchaser, security code. We don’t need any of that.
We need to inform attendees that they are registered, and provide a link to cancel their RSVP or update the status from going to “not going”.
How and where can we change these items? There is nothing like that in the settings. We have several sites in a multisite network, and therefore, these settings will be different for each separate subsite.
Also, we use RSVP for the waiting list. So the wording for each RSVP would be different. One is “you are registered” and another “you are on the waiting list”. I am assuming there’s a way to specify wording for each type of RSVP.
Please, advise. Thank you.

KeymasterThanks so much for reaching out!
In order to edit the email template, you can take a look at our Themer’s Guide, which can walk you through how to copy and edit our templates. I’d recommend starting off by looking at the tickets/email.php file.
As far as the subject goes, you can change that by heading over to WooCommerce Settings < Emails, and looking at the Tickets email.
Let me know how it goes and if you have any other questions along the way!
Thanks,
Jaime

ParticipantHi Jaime,
thank you for the pointer. The thing is there are tickets that are being sold and there are RSVP’s. Currently, RSVP’s email confirmations look like and use the verbiage similar to ticket sales but not RSVP’s or registrations, which is confusing to our users. for example, when someone RSVP’s for an event, they get an email that says they purchased a ticket. We would like to be able to modify the email content for tickets vs RSVP’s. And it can’t be the same template for both tickets and RSVP’s. there should be a different template for RSVP’s only that makes it clear that it’s an RSVP and include the link to cancel their RSVP. Currently there’s no way to know that you can even cancel an RSVP. Our attendees do not have accounts on our site, so they can’t login into the site and see the link to cancel the RSVP. So that link should be sent in the email confirmation. Does it make sense?

KeymasterThanks for your explanation.
Just to let you know, we are limited by our Support Policy in how much we can help with customizations, but I will try to point you in the right direction.
Here are some other templates that may be of interest to you, which you can look at within the Themer’s Guide, so that you can get closer to the results that you are trying to achieve:
- tickets/orders-rsvp
- tickets/rsvp.php
If this functionality is a requirement for your intended project, I’d suggest that a third-party developer would be the best way to make this feature happen on a short timeline. ? We maintain a list of developers who work with our plugins on our Knowledgebase here:

Let me know how it goes and if you have any other questions along the way!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
