So if you login you cannot add categories to events in Community Events, correct? If you take the login requirement off it works normally? Can you provide a link to where this is happening and if so a base level account for me to see the form and issue. Let me know and we can go from here. It looks like something is disabling them. It is unclear what as I am not seeing the issue on my test site. Can you please follow our testing for conflicts guide: Testing Conflicts With Themes and Other Plugins And see if that can narrow down the cause of this.
