John
ParticipantHi – I upgraded my plugin (on my staging site) and I’m getting this message:
Catchable fatal error: Argument 2 passed to Tribe__Events__Pro__Customizer__Section::register() must be an instance of Tribe__Events__Pro__Customizer__Main, instance of Tribe__Customizer given in /home/modelmug/staging/7/wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/src/Tribe/Customizer/Section.php on line 230
Here are the details:
1. I have a license for a single site.
2. I am currently using it on the staging site.
3. It is not being used on the live site, but it is activated.
4. It is also on the previous staging sites (about 6)
5. Here’s a messages I’m getting on the staging site:
“You have entered a license key for The Events Calendar PRO but the key is out of installs. Visit the Events Calendar website to to manage your installs, upgrade your license, or purchase a new one.”
6. I did pay in April 2017 for new license.
7. The staging site’s url is – staging7.myclientsite.com – we use subdomains for staging (Siteground 1-click staging)
8. We will always have at least 1 staging site being worked on while the site is live
9. I attached a screenshot of the versions I have on the staging site that’s giving me the error message.
How can I resolve this error message.
Thanks for your help!
John

KeymasterHello John,
Thanks for reaching out! I’m sorry about this issue, let me try to help you solve it.
As a first you are more then welcome to use our plugin and your license key on one live site and a staging site. Here is some information on that:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-one-license-live-dev-sites/
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/license-key-out-of-installs/
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/moving-your-license-keys/
In order to be able to provide you with better support, please share with me your system information based on this guide.
Please note, the screenshot you shared with me shows plugins that are not developed and maintained by us.
Make sure that all of our plugins are updated to the latest versions as well, as for example an older version of The Events Calendar and a newer version of Events Calendar PRO might cause glitches like the above.
When / where did you get that error message? What were you doing when it appeared? Or is it constantly visible on every admin page load?
Thanks,
