    Hi,

    We recently got into a situation where one of our event organisers had his event and tickets date/time in the past(assuming online sale stop time was 2pm) and a user could purchase a ticket at 6pm on the same day.

    I thought if the event/ticket time is in the past then buyers can’t buy tickets.

    Can you please advise what’s the current functionality? Or is there’s a way to empty the cart after x minutes/hours?

    Hey @Tac,

    That shouldn’t possible—indeed, if the event is in the past then it should not be possible to buy it!

    There are two possible culprits here:

    1. Did the event ticket have a specified “End sale date” that was later than the event itself?

    2. There could be a timezone-related issue, based on how things are configured on your site. To help investigate this, can you please share your “System Information”? Here’s how ? https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
