Canvas theme: Events pages also highlighting blog in main menu.

I have the same problem as this thread

She sums up the problem very well:

On selecting the events overview page (I’ve left it on the default /events/ currently) the blog menu (at /blog/) is also highlighted as an active menu selection. Selecting individual events also causes this problem.

However, there is only one solution in the thread and it doesn’t work in my case (not sure why). Is there any progress on this issue? Are there any potential fixes?

Hi fiveespressos,

That particular snippet wouldn’t work for you simply because your theme has a different way of highlighting that particular class of menu links (than was the case with Sandie’s theme).

Can you instead try adding this code to a suitable location for custom CSS if your theme makes that available?

Yeah you’d need the !important property in its current location – if it was added to themes/canvas/custom.css or indeed a custom tribe-events/tribe-events.css stylesheet you probably wouldn’t need that – however the main thing of course is that you’ve got a solution 🙂
