ParticipantCan’t give you system info because I can’t get the plugin to install. Here’s what I see when I try to activate the basic Events Calendar plugin.
I already tried deleting the plugin from the wp-plugins folder twice, deleted completely, re- uploaded with same error messages.
Please could you help? I need to install Pro, paid for it, have hassled over this for several hours. I use PRO on other sites, never had this problem.

MemberHello Jean
I’m sorry this is happening. I’d like to double check, have you installed The Events Calendars first, before installing Events Calendar Pro?
Also, have you tested disabling all other plugins and using a default theme while trying to install? Testing for Conflicts Guide https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/.
Thanks

ParticipantHereβs the history:
installed Events Calendar on spindriftcellars.com, had it running well, events added and layout setup.
Customer overloaded the server with junk, had to delete Events Calendar folder to make enough room to get on server to fix site.
Fixed site, got rid of junk on server.
Bought new license of PRO for them.
Tried to install Events Calendar Pro first, spent an hour mucking around, found note on your site to install Event Cal first, deleted Events Calendar Pro.
Tried to install Events Calendar yesterday, got error you see in support ticket.
Deleted Events Calendar folder from server, checked twice, no folder, all gone but no install.
I tried deactivating all plugins and using a default theme (very few in use except Avada). No go with install.
What can I do?

MemberHello Jean
– Did you obtain The Events Calendar from wp.org, or from GitHub? We recommend installing it from https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/
– It could also be a file permissions issue. Did you install it via the wp.org ‘add plugin’ screen and by searching the directory from there, or by uploading the zip manually? Here’s hoping we can narrow this down soon.
Thanks

MemberHello Jean
What method did you use to delete /events? What is the address of your calendar now? Find that at Events Β» Settings Β» General Β» Events URL slug.
Thanks

MemberHello Jean
Can you tell me how you originally deleted the events page?
It may be helpful to deactivate & uninstall both The Events Calendars and Events Calendar Pro. Re-installing/activating should reset this for you.
Can you try that and let me know how it goes?
Thanks

MemberHello Jean
I’m sorry this is still happen.
Can you temporarily deactivate everything else except for TEC and ECP – and then have then visit Settings > Permalinks to flush the cache (you don’t need to do anything except visit that page to do this) – then see if the problem clears up.
Please keep me posted.
Thanks
