ParticipantI have been using Pro for quite some time and have always been able to easily create recurring events. Today when I went into Pro to update my monthly calendar, the option to create a recurring event is not there. What has changed, and how do I find this option? I have scanned to forum and can see some questions related to this question, however I am unable to view any of the replies. My license is good until January so that is not the problem. Thank you for help so I can update my calendar properly. Jan

MemberHello Jan
Can you start by going through our Testing for Conflicts Guide https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/? I am wondering if you might have a plugin or theme conflict. Begin by deactivating all other plugins, using a theme such as Twenty Seventeen https://wordpress.org/themes/twentyseventeen/, and see if the issue still persists.
Also, double check for any other updates available (Dashboard » Updates).
Please let me know if the issue still persists after these tests.
Thanks

ParticipantAfter jumpimg through a lot of steps I got this working. I first checked my license key and did a cut and paste, I then checked the dashboard updated and ran the update for Pro. I then updated the Events Aggregator as instructed and it still did not work. I finally went into my actual plug-ins page for the calendar and for some reason the Calendar Events Pro was not activated. This must have happened during some upgrade because I had used it just the month before and all was well. Perhaps these steps will help another looking for a solution to this same problem.
I would still like to know how to look at the replies when I do a search in the forum. I can bring up relative questions and it will show X number of relies but they are not hyperlinked. Thanks. J
P.S. Thank you Courtney. I just saw your reply after I hit submit.

ParticipantI spoke too soon. I am now able to put recurring events on my calendar, but when I try to click on an event on the calendar to edit or view it, the recurring events (both recently added and older ones) will give me a message that “this page is no longer available”. The non-recurring events pop up just fine and I can view or edit them when I clink on the title on the calendar. I tried to check settings and other tabs in the Pro screens, but cannot figure out why the recurring events will not go to the page from the calendar and instead give me an error. Thanks for any help.

MemberHi Jan
Can you try flushing your permalinks? Go to Settings » Permalinks and just hit save. Then go to the event that should be recurring in your wp-admin dashboard and try to load the event. Also look at it from your calendar public view and see if this works.
Thanks

ParticipantThank you so much. I had to flush the links a couple of times, but all
seems to be working well now. I love the Calendar Pro program, but I am
not very savvy when it comes to troubleshooting when it doesn’t work
correctly. J—
